Description:
The Marketing Director, Innovation and Design Building (IDB) is responsible for executing the property’s overall marketing strategy and creative direction, including the coordination and implementation of site activation initiatives, with the ultimate intent of adding value to IDB.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1) Marketing
Identify, develop, and manage strategic marketing initiatives and plans, including the design and production of marketing collateral, print and digital advertising, ID Boston Magazine, and management of IDB’s social media channels’ content and design with Social Media Manager
Assist with additional branding of property to include strategy for market placement that is reflected in:  collateral materials (leasing and tenant interface), logo, websites, photography, newsletter, signage and other misc. material
Collaborate with Leasing team in the procurement and analysis of market research to determine target shopper/consumer/buyers and evolve marketing strategy for the asset through all channels
Review of tenant sales data and costs of occupancy so that the individual marketing strategies for tenants and retail categories can be evolved
Manage annual media buy
Manage PR agency relationship with Communications Manager including the transmission of property voice, story ideas, salient facts on projects and tenants, proofing press releases and following PR media strategy
Manage and interface with Associate Creative Manager, graphic designers, printers, copywriters, vendors contractors and property tenants
Create and manage marketing project budgets and timelines
Interface with asset manager about marketing initiatives/plans for approval; ensure that budgets and timelines are complete, accurate, and adhered to; any variances must be discussed in advance of expenditures
Actively identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase impact of marketing efforts
2) Site Activation
Create strategy, budget and calendar for over thirty yearly events
Compile and assess third party providers including set designers, caterers, musicians, photographers, and others
Ideate and curate event aesthetic and collateral
Work with property management team to effectively communicate Individual Event Requirements and ascertain the costs required to run the event (either employee overtime or contract services)
Responsible for event contracts and documents
3) Design & Construction
Lead way finding strategy and site specific signage design and implementation
Assist with the design, procurement and implementation of amenity and model décor packages for commercial and residential properties
Manage the relationship and approvals between outside consultants and in-house initiatives
4) Administration
Management of support personnel and contractors
Special projects and research as required; i.e. social media trends, trades show design and logistics, corporate marketing initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design or a related field of study from an accredited university; and
A minimum of seven years experience in marketing related to retail, mixed-use, or hospitality industries; and
A minimum of three years experience in a management role on retail projects; or
Any combination of education, training, or experience that provide the candidate with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Knowledge of Social Media Platforms
Basic knowledge of property management duties, property operating rhythms, and typical operating calendar
Skill in:
Communicating graphic ideas clearly and quickly
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills 
Ability to meet deadlines, accomplish work in order of priority; professional presentation of point of view, corporate image and flexibility in changing conditions.
Self-motivation, leadership, teamwork and collaboration
Conflict Management Resolution 
Detail-oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem solving
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions:
Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule to meet deadlines or attend special events
