Staples makes list of 'America's Top Corporations for Women's Business Enterprises'
Staples Inc., the Framingham-based office-supply retailer, is one of 29 companies recognized on an annual list of "America's Top Corporations for Women's Business Enterprises."
The list is compiled by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council, a Washington, D.C.,-based group that advocates for women-owned businesses. This is the council's 13th annual list, and the lists seek to chart the progress that companies have made in advancing the success of women's enterprises in doing business with corporations and government entities.
"Our Top Corporations know that women's businesses drive innovation and competitiveness in today's marketplace," Pamela Prince-Eason, president and chief executive of the enterprise council, said in a statement. "That's why they are deeply committed to strategic business development programs that span their organizations and achieve measurable results."
