Allen & Gerritsen Completes Redesign Of Bright Horizons Website


Newly Designed Site Simplifies Control While Providing Flexibility for Child Care Centers

BOSTON, Mass., (May 29th, 2013) - Allen & Gerritsen (a&g), ranked number one in the United States by Advertising Age as a "Best Place to Work in Marketing and Media" for two consecutive years, announced today that it has completed a complex overhaul of Bright Horizons Family Solutions' website, www.brighthorizons.com, and its individual child care center sites.

This new suite of websites will allow Bright Horizons to more easily update content on their company site within a branded template library while providing individual child care centers the flexibility and user-friendly interface necessary to maintain content for their own local customers and families. The tighter integration of Bright Horizons social media channels and its redesigned website will facilitate additional engagement from Bright Horizons employer partners and families.

"We wanted the main and individual sites to reflect the childlike and emotional aspects of the Bright Horizons in-center experience, while still making it easy for parents to find critical information," said Doug Gould, Allen & Gerritsen Creative Director. "The Bright Horizons team members were wonderful collaborative partners, and the end result is a vastly customizable series of websites that are also elegant representations of the brand."

a&g's innovative team of experts in information architecture, user-experience design, programming, CMS, analytics and creative services worked on this project extensively to ensure the new websites provide Bright Horizons with improved ROI, consistency across multiple channels, and, most important, efficient management of the company's individual center sites. The team focused on developing an interactive site that was functional and effective for both Bright Horizons' extensive family user base as well as employers considering Bright Horizons work/life services. The team elevated social media use on the site and provided a sleek location-based map and reservations tool, allowing customers to find the closest child care center near them.
