Our goal in creating this series is to support and develop the next level of female leaders in Boston. Emily Green, Independent Board Director & Advisor
Emily Green is a tech sector executive and thought leader, leading innovation in technology services for over 25 years. Currently, she is an independent Director on the Board of Casella Waste Systems, Inc. (NASD: CWST), a $500M regional waste services firm and a member of the Russell 2000 small cap index. For the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, a state economic development agency, she serves on both the Board and its Executive Committee, positions to which she was appointed by the Governor. She also coaches several C-level leaders and advises technology startups.
Her extensive leadership experience includes a stint as the CEO of Smart Lunches, Inc., a fast-growing online ordering and delivery service for school lunches, for which she raised venture funding, built an award-winning technology platform, and scaled operations to 300 schools in 9 states. Previously, she was the CEO, and later Chairman, of Yankee Group, a storied technology research firm that she teamed with private equity investors to acquire. Prior to Yankee Group, her roles included CEO of Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), serving with Forrester Research (NASD: FORR), and earlier in her career she worked in fiber-optic telecommunications and in computer-generated special effects. She was granted a B.S.L. cum laude in linguistics from Georgetown University and an M.S.E. in artificial intelligence and computer graphics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Moore School of Engineering.
Emily was named a Mass High-Tech All-Star in 2011. ANYWHERE, her book on the business impact of global connectivity, was published in 2010 by McGraw-Hill. She speaks publicly on the impact of technology on business and consumers, on best practices in international expansion, and on women and leadership.
Tiffany Mosher, SVP People Strategy, DataXu
Tiffany leads DataXu’s global Human Resources practice to ensure the availability of world-class talent to drive DataXu’s success. Her responsibilities include executive, leadership, and employee development; talent acquisition; business partnering; and compensation and benefits. A respected and accomplished HR Executive, Tiffany has held multiple senior HR executive level roles and has deep experience in developing corporate human resources strategies that recruit, retain and develop top talent. Tiffany is a thoughtful and accomplished leader, with experience in a variety of industries including high-tech, professional services, consumer goods and publishing, including stints with Akamai Technologies, Cengage Learning, Euro-Pro Operating LLC, and Aramark. Tiffany holds both her BA and MA in Communications from the University of Maine.
Katie Burke, VP, Culture & Experience, Hubspot
As VP of Culture & Experience, Katie oversees HubSpot’s global employment brand to attract top-level talent as the company continues to grow and enter new markets. She creates and delivers the optimal candidate and employee experience for HubSpot’s offices around the world. Katie manages the team responsible for HubSpot’s award-winning culture and commitment to transparency and autonomy.
During her time at HubSpot, the company has received culture commendations from Entrepreneur, Fortune, The Boston Globe, Glassdoor, and The Boston Business Journal. Katie’s emphasis on a culture of inclusion, diversity, and support has also placed HubSpot on Fortune.com’s “100 Best Workplaces for Women” list.
Prior to HubSpot, Katie was the Director of Marketing and Corporate Partnerships at Athletes’ Performance and Core Performance. During her tenure, the company was named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies and was featured on CNN Money, Yahoo!, ESPN, The New York Times, and more. Katie also served as a Brand Manager at EXOS. She holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
